What is Sitecore Stream - a short intro

Sitecore Stream was announced at the recently held Sitecore Symposium in Nashville. But what is it and why would you need it?

Intro

Sitecore Stream is a new "product" from Sitecore. But apparently it's not really a product but more of a service that will enhance your experience with the existing product set such as Sitecore Content Hub, Sitecore XM Cloud and Sitecore XP.

Sitecore Stream will provide a generative AI introduced to enhance the personalization and content management capabilities of the Sitecore ecosystem. It is designed to help marketers, content managers, and businesses deliver a more engaging, real-time, and data-driven customer experience.

Sitecore Stream enhances content delivery by enabling real-time, data-driven personalization and providing insights to create more relevant and engaging customer experiences.
So it is really meant to enhance the Sitecore products by providing AI capabilities by using a copilot orchestration service.

It is also part of the new Sitecore vision: Intelligent DXP.

And Sitecore Stream with Copilot is only the first step in this vision:

What is copilot orchestration?

Generative orchestration lets your custom agent answer user queries with relevant topics and/or actions. Generative orchestration enables more natural conversations by filling in inputs, using details from the conversation history. For example, if you ask about the nearest store in Kirkland, and then ask for the weather there, orchestration infers you want to ask for the weather in Kirkland.

So this means that you'll get brand aware generated answers & content. Which is a huge focus of this feature.
And on top of that, security is also taken care of. Your data isn't used to train the AI model so it cannot be used for other customers.

Summary

Sitecore Stream will transform your content-experience lifecycle with AI workflows, generative copilots, and brand-aware AI to work smarter, more strategically, and more securely.
