SUGCON Europe is getting closer and closer!

On Thursday, April 3rd, and Friday, April 4th, I'll be in Antwerp, Belgium, ready to welcome you to this amazing event! 🎉 Haven’t grabbed your ticket yet? No worries—there’s still time! Register now: https://europe.sugcon.events/

For everyone travelling to Belgium and for those that want to experience some real Belgian food and drinks, I've compiled a series of short blog posts to give you some - hopefully - useful tips on what to eat / drink / visit in Antwerp.

Belgian Waffles

Ahh, our joy and pride. Everybody knows Belgian waffles! But do you really know them?

Because there are 2 different styles of waffles!

Brussels style or "Brusselse wafel"

A big, light, rectangular and crispy waffle. Add a topping to your liking such as sugar, whipped cream, ice cream, nutella, …
By default they don't contain much sugar so a topping is recommended.

My favourite one: Brusselse wafel with powdered sugar.

Liège style or "Luikse wafel"

A smaller, much heavier waffle which contains sugar cristals / chunks that are caramelized when heated.

No toppings are needed, they are sweet as they come.

Which one will you pick? Both?
